What’s the mission of the school?
The mission of MMS is to create World Peace by empowering individuals to find peace within themselves.
When was MMS founded?
The Modern Mystery School is part of an unbroken 3000+ lineage dating back to the time of King Salomon.
Many of the core Hermetic teachings of the school date back much longer than that, approximately 8000 years.
The Modern Mystery School as the present-day holder of this lineage opened it’s doors to the public in 1997. Before that the lineage was operating as a closed-order mystery school.
What role does the school play as an institution?
The Modern Mystery School holds the administrative structure to facilitate the handing down of the sacred, ancient teachings of this lineage.
The school holds the container to ensuring the purity of the teachings and organizes the logistical aspects that are necessary for a Mystery School to operate publicly.
Are you employed by MMS?
No. As a practitioner, healer and teacher certified by MMS, I operate as an independent business owner. None of my profits go to MMS, nor does MMS employ me.
The modalities I practice I learned through MMS, but we are separate business entities.
Is MMS a religion?
The Modern Mystery School teaches universal spiritual principles, tools & healing modalities that go beyond and particular religious practice. It is not a religion.
This is a hermetics lineage – meaning we study of the mind of God without the filter of human opinion & dogma.
What is the “path of initiation” and where does it lead?
The path of Initiation is as a journey of coming to know yourself as God.
Initiation itself is an alchemical process that reconnects to you to the flow of Light, so that God’s Will can flow through you.
There are several stages of Initiation within the Mystery School, the first of which is called Empower Thyself Initiation (also known as “Adept” Initiation).
